About Us

Our company Hotstreak is a branch of Young Enterprise Northern Ireland and is made up of lower sixth pupils from The Wallace High School, Lisburn. Young Enterprise is a scheme that gives pupils in secondary level education the opportunity to set up their own company and run it for a year. We are responsible for every aspect of the company– raising capital through selling shares, electing directors, deciding on and designing our own unique, original product, the manufacture of this product, marketing, and ultimately getting out there and selling it to you- the customer. Throughout the year Hotstreak attends ‘Trade Fairs’ in areas across Northern Ireland, at these trade fairs we and other companies from around the country set up our own stall in a locations such as shopping centres where we all compete to sell our products to the public. There are prizes such as Best Newcomer and Best Product to be won at these Trade Fairs. At our first trade fair in Ballymena we were awarded both Best Product and Best Personality. At the end of the year we will take part in the Company of the Year competition and eventually wind down the company, where we will pay off Young Enterprise taxes, pay back shareholders and liquidate our assets.

During the year we receive help from one of the teachers at Wallace, Miss Niell.
